Summary:
Shak Hanish is a full professor and the Director of the Political Science Program at National University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Political Science in 1998 from Northern Arizona (State) University, specializing in International Relations, Comparative Politics, and History and Politics of the Middle East. He obtained his master’s degrees from SDSU in World Politics, his BA was in Political Science and minor in World Cultures from SDSU. His AA degree was in Liberal Arts from San Diego City College. His research and teaching interests are in World Politics and Middle Eastern Politics. His scholarly work focuses on the issue of minorities in the Middle East, specifically in Iraq, and issues of human rights. He was an International Guest Professor in China, Turkey, Palestine, Kosovo, and Serbia. He is an Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Global Peace and Conflict of the American Association of International Researchers (AAIR), His publications include 3 books and 10 book chapters. He published over 20 Peer-Reviewed Journals Articles, 15 Encyclopedia Entries, 12 Book Reviews, and presented 20 presentations at international academic conferences

Intercultural Business Communication, Cultural Diversity, American Government, World Civilization, and Arabic Language and Culture. He has taught over 250 courses (onsite and online) at National University, SDSU, Chapman University, Northern Arizona Univerity, California State University- Long Beach, among others
